The Armonte - Gods of Uis-Valla

Jules & Salfo (Armonte Generals)

Introducing the Armonte of the Kingdom of Vellig, the first realm of the Kuboran Galaxy, who are an accomplished race of magicians and in the art of war. A tall biped race, muscular in stature with little or no body hair.

The Kingdom of Vellig is large, divided into three continents, surrounded by oceans with a scattering of smaller islands where no law exists - home to rebel tribes that do not have alliances with any of the noble houses. The Kingdom of Vellig is colourless, cold, almost devoid of vegetation except for rustic plants offering a carpet to an otherwise barren landscape, filled with a constant grey aura.

History records that the rulers of the continents were in constant battle until Jules, the current ruling general of the kingdom, whose father, Galen, through a union of marriage with Saluris, daughter of general Alfredo of the House of Rool on the neighbouring continent formed a peace alliance. Peace ensued, but it was part of the union agreement that the title of ruling general of the Kingdom of Vellig would rotate every thirty-six rotation of the sun, between the two noble houses.

Attached to each noble house, is a mystic house, managed by a high order mage. They act as direct advisors to the generals and are responsible for training those of high-ranking status among the Armonte to be users of the craft of magic.  The craft is part of life for the Armonte, learned at an early age, however lower social classes, born out of noble families, do not get the chance to officially learn, so therefore they dabble and acquire spells through underground schools, never achieving a recognised status.  Such unlicenced establishments who promote and teach the craft are quickly dispensed of.

Three ancient texts exist which record the spells and magic of the Armonte and is kept with the ruling general of the kingdom. The origins of the power came from an outcast female who harnessed the power of natural elements and energy of the land.  She was stumbled upon by three young males whom she took on as apprentices that started the origin of the high order mages.

The Armonte crave domination, driven by greed and lust, so when an opportunity arises to give them access to new dominions, the generals react, but what kind of pressure will it put on the already volatile power hierarchy?
